Street-van
Street-van outreach is the core part of the Drug-ARM ministry. Our street-van parks outside the Cathedral square from 10pm until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights, equipped with 4-6 trained volunteers, emergency first aid, hot drinks, food and resources. Our street-van operates as a "Good Samaritan service" and has a well established presence on the streets of Christchurch. Many of the street people come regularly each weekend for food and fellowship.
Of particular concern are vulnerable young people, especially if they are under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Over the years a number have turned their lives around as a direct result of the fellowship and support recieved through our street-van ministry.
